Color Therapy in Spas

Spa’s That Color You Beautiful

Color Therapy In Spas:
The healing use of color and light can be manifested in a variety of ways, ranging from exposure to light from colored lamps, color baths, and cloth of certain colors worn on reflex points around the body to the use of color cards and guided visualizations where a healing color enters the body via the breath.
LumaLight 2000, with multiple color lenses, is a tool resembling a flashlight being used to enhance the effect of Reiki, aromatherapy sessions, and reflexology.
Color therapy may also take the form of Colorpuncture, a system founded by German therapist and naturopath Peter Mandel, which focuses concentrated beams of colored light at precise acupuncture meridian points. Phytobiodermie’s Chromopuncteur treatments focus beams of intense color on chakra points, with the purpose of stimulating the body’s own innate healing powers.
A growing number of spas are offering color and light-based therapies and treatments, either alone or to complement other treatments. Here are a few to get you started:

Colorpuncture
Colorpuncture
Colorpuncture involves focusing colored light on acupuncture (and other) points on the skin in order to energize powerful healing impulses in our physical and energy bodies.
Scientists are now discovering that light is actually the medium by which cells communicate and it is at the very basis of many body functions.
In a Colorpuncture treatment, frequencies of colored light are focused on the skin using a hand-held acu-light tool with specially designed, hand-made interchangeable glass rods which emit different colors of light through a focused tip. Each color consists of different wavelength frequencies of light and therefore communicates different energetic information.
Treatments include a specific set of points in a sequence using a prescribed pattern of colors. As the light is absorbed by the skin and transmitted along energetic pathways or meridians deep into the body, it stimulates intra-cellular communication which supports healing.

Aura Soma
Aura-Soma Color Reading
Spa-goers color their way to happiness with the Aura-Soma Color Reading treatment. After perusing a collection of colorful bottled liquids, clients then spend a session with a therapist who interprets their choices and wraps up the experience with a healing massage. “Your color preferences, such as your favorite color and the colors you like next to each other are all expressions of the inner self,” says therapist Bhakta Ruttiger. “
AURA-SOMA® is color for everyone. A non-intrusive and self-selective system in which color is the key. It is an ancient knowledge that has been refined and revitalized into a living system easily accessible to all. At this pivotal point in history, AURA-SOMA® speaks to you through 105 beautiful bottles of rainbow colored oils, special essences, pomanders and quintessence.
AURA-SOMA® is a system that brings you closer to the understanding of yourself. It uses the visual and non-visual energies of color, it uses the energies of herbs from essential oils and herbal extracts and it uses the energies of crystals and gems.
When four bottles are chosen consecutively, a trained AURA-SOMA® Practitioner can guide you through the significance of the sequence of your choice and enable a deeper investigation of each of the levels the colors and their respective messages apply to.

Personality Color Assessment for Children

Give both Step 1 and 2 on the same day. Remember to give the child plenty of time and do not try to alter their decisions. Be neutral when asking questions. This is all about their creative process... "For young children, creating is a natural process." - Maryanne E. Hoffman

Step 1:

Give the child seven color of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) and gray, black, brown and white. Any material will do - crayons, pastels, paints, colored pencils, markers

Ask the child to make their own special imaginary rainbow. Paint the rainbow with their favorite color on top and then their next favorite color...to their least favorite on the bottom. The rainbow will use all the colors, so it should be made of 11 stripes. Do not discourage the child's decisions. If they choose the top to be black or brown, go with it. They can only use each color once.

Step 2:

Have the child respond spontaneously to these series of questions...

1. Which do you enjoy the best : sunrise, high noon, sunset?
2. Whate is your favorite season : winter, spring, summer, fall?
3. Which color do you like the best : red, yellow, blue?
4. Which color do you like the best : orange, purple, green?
5. Which color do you like best : black, gray, white?
6. What two combined colors do you like best? (written like this...ex. Blue-Green, Red-Purple, Yellow-Indigo)
7. Which shape is most appealing to you : circle, square, triangle, oval, hexagon, rectangle, crescent? (Show drawings)
8. Which line is most appealing to you : horizontal, vertical, diagonal, curved, jagged, wavy, check mark? (Show drawings)

...Now everyone please feel free to send me or post your child's results. (list the age, sex, and ethnicity of each child along with their results)
Thank you for taking the time to complete this questionaire/survey.
